Founded by Gina McFarlen, a mother of two, The Baby Kitchen was created out of a desire to bring whole nutrition to even the youngest little eater. Says Gina, "As a mother, I know how busy and hectic life can be. It's so tempting to take shortcuts on what we feed our kids because finding the time to prepare whole foods from scratch is not always realistic."

This is where The Baby Kitchen comes in. We provide incredibly delicious, healthy baby food without all the additives and without hidden ingredients. Our food is prepared fresh and then frozen immediately into one-ounce portions that enable you to thaw only what your baby will eat, so there is never any waste from unfinished jars. All our food is handmade to order in a professional commercial kitchen. Small batches ensure quality and consistency. We choose ingredients that provide the maximum in nutritional benefits for your baby's rapid rate of growth. And for your convenience, The Baby Kitchen delivers food to your home!

At The Baby Kitchen, we care about where our food comes from. We purchase from local Austin area farmers whenever available, and almost all our foods are organic. Our unique recipes have all been taste-tested by Gina's kids, and have received an enthusiastic "baby thumbs up" from her son Gavin. Even her 8-year-old loves them!

Gina has strong convictions about the food children eat: "Somewhere along the line, our society forgot about the importance of feeding children real foods. Out of convenience, our children end up with overprocessed, overpreserved foods. I felt it was time for a change."

Aside from nutrition, we believe taste is important in the early years. Between the ages of six and twelve months your baby is forming taste preferences that set the stage for eating throughout the toddler years. We encourage feeding a wide variety of flavors and textures to your baby in order to expand your little one's developing palate.
